Uh, I think I can see….

Uganda still a pearl for Photographers!

I will be traveling to Uganda soon (well in May 2013). How I wish I could reach the shores of Lake Bunonyi. And this is why:uganda-bunyonyi2nx This shot was captured by Atilla Szili.

The Lake Bunyonyi, lies in south western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale close to the border with Rwanda. It is located at 1962m above sea level and surrounded by steep sided mountains from 2,200 to 2,478 m high. It is about 25 km long and 7 km wide. There are 29 islands dotting the centre of lake, while the depth is varying from 44m to 900m making it the second deepest lake in Africa. The lake surface is of 25˙C, bilharzia free and safe for swimming.
The shot was captured at dusk on a rainy day from the terrace of the cottage I spent a couple of nights. -Atilla Szili
